Virtual Art Week celebrates contemporary art in a virtual format, an online exhibition program first introduced in 2022, coinciding with Rome Art Week, Rome’s week of contemporary art.
It is during the autumn period of Rome Art Week that we promote new exhibitions, update the portal, and launch campaigns aimed at showcasing contemporary art in virtual contexts, both online and in the metaverse.
The program features individual and collective virtual exhibitions, 360° tours of international museums and galleries, and exhibitions in the Spatial and Second Life metaverses. These initiatives, in addition to having a presence in the metaverse, are streamed on YouTube to make them accessible to a wider audience.
This artistic project offers the opportunity to discover unique and otherwise hard-to-access art events, directly from the homepage of this site.
The initiative aims to spread contemporary art and culture worldwide, using innovative online exhibition systems and providing an engaging experience that stimulates curiosity about art and new technologies.
